Automobile companies eyeing Uttarakhand for expansion

Major Automobile companies including Bajaj Auto, Hero Honda and Tata Motors already existing in the state of Uttarakhand are keen on expansion in the state as the past few quarters of sales have reeped more than the anticipated sales for them. The company officials from these companies confirmed this speculation that there are plans and interest of many automobile companies to expand in the state of Uttarakhand.

The government of Uttarakhand seems quite elated on the news and have been in eye of free available land that could be used for the automobile companies. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank recently said that his administration has got information from various automobile companies about the expansion dreams they have in the state.

Uttarakhand state administration is keen on developing the state into a automobile hub with the establishments of all major automobile players of India. The state offers an investor-friendly policy that has drawn Tatas, Hero Honda and Ashok Leyland to have their set ups in the state.

The state of Uttaranchal continues to be an attractive destination for investors and more so after the excise waiver that came towards the end of March this year. With major auto majors like Tata, Hero Honda recognising the state of Uttaranchal as a lucrative investment ground, the state is certainly on the edge of being the next automobile hub.
