To mark the occasion of Queen Elizabeth’s II’s Diamond Jubilee, the luxury car maker of the state, Bentley Motors is launching 60 special edition Mulsannes. This fleet of 60 distinctly styled Mulsannes was unveiled at the largest Bentley dealership in Sanlitun in China. These 60 examples of Mulsanne Diamond Jubilee edition represent each year of Her Majesty’s reign and have been crafted by the craftsmen and women of Bentley’s Mulliner division. These exquisite cars are rendered some bewitching handcrafted features like gold embroidery on all four headrests, rear cabin decorated with veneered picnic tables and also a gold overlay that depicts a royal carriage used for great and luxurious occasions of the state.
These Mulsanne cars are also graced with highy-polished treadplate plaques made of stainless steel with the famed ‘Bentley Mulliner, England’ script. Bentley Mulliner is wholly-owned by Bentley Motors, England and a special department for Bentley and limited edition cars has been offered by the Mulliner team. The special Diamond Jubilee cars sport special paint and hide colors and also various combinations and shades of red, white and blue that set these special edition cars apart from other Bentley models. According to the Director of Royal and VIP Relations of Bentley Motors, Mr. Richard Charlesworth, China has shown a lot of respect and genuine interest toward the aspects of Royal Family and British life, and this has been an unique experience for the brand.
Mr. Charlesworth added that these hand-crafted cars are a way of reciprocating the appreciation and creativity the company has received from China and as the proud holder of the Royal Warrant the company wants to gift China some memorable examples of technology and craftsmanship. China has emerged as the largest market for Bentley Motors which is evident from the fact that this British car maker delivered 1,664 luxury cars to China in 2011 and this figure has grown by 84.66 percent in the first quarter of 2012. The market is expected to grow further since Bentley is introducing its latest convertible Continental models and high-performance coupe to the customers of China in 2012. The Bentley Mulsanne has its own flair that reflects the spirit of Britain and Bentley in the truest form. The car ensures an awe-inspiring experience dipped in handcrafted luxury, ultra-refined performance, princely interiors and top-class technology.
