The BMW 3-series, 320d is no stranger to Indian roads. The Highline and Corporate models of the 320d have been in India since early 2012. Our regular readers will be aware that we covered the release of a new 3-series model codenamed F30 to be launched in India within this year. And now trusted sources have confirmed that this is none other than the 320d Sport. The BMW 320d Sport has been in the international market since early 2012 and is now slated for release in India on the 19th of July this year.
BMW are quite famous for their knack for powerful diesel cars and the 320d Sport is no exception. The UK-spec diesel version comes with a 2.0-litre 4 cylinder inline engine that has 181 horses within it and produces a torque of 380Nm. This will be the sixth-generation model of the 3-series and will feature some if not all of the heavy upgrades from the UK-spec version. The assembly for the 320d Sport will be through the CKD route as per usual and the car is expected to give competition to the likes of Mercedes C-Class, Volvo S60 and the Audi A4.
