Top 10 Features The Kia Carens Clavis EV Can Get From The Combustion-powered Carens Clavis

Besides the borrowed features, the Carens Clavis EV can also bring some EV-specific additions like V2L charging

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is set to be launched on July 15 with an expected price tag of around Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). We’ve already compared its design with its ICE counterpart, which seems largely similar except for a few changes. Likewise, the electric version of the MPV can also borrow many features from the fossil-fuel-propelled model. We detail the top 10 of those features in this report:

Dual 12.25-Inch Displays

The Carens Clavis EV is expected to come with the same dual floating-screen setup as the ICE model, with a 12.25-inch digital driver’s display alongside a 12.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This layout, first seen with the Kia Syros, gives a modern appeal to the dashboard.

Front Ventilated Seats

The Carens Clavis EV is also expected to carry forward the Clavis ICE’s front-ventilated seats. This will add to the great driver and co-driver’s comfort, especially considering the warm and hot climate in India.

Panoramic Sunroof

Besides the dual display setup, another feature we are confirmed about from the teaser video is a panoramic sunroof. However, this feature could be reserved for the higher variants, with the lower trims getting a single-pane sunroof like in the Kia Carens Clavis.

8-Speaker Bose Sound System

The Carens Clavis EV is likely to offer a premium Bose sound system as well, making it more appealing to audiophiles. It remains to be seen if we get additional speakers in the EV compared to the 8-speaker unit in the petrol and diesel models.

64-Colour Ambient Lighting

The teaser shows the Carens Clavis EV featuring ambient lighting. Most likely, the Carens Clavis EV will continue with the 64-colour configuration that is offered with the standard Carens Clavis MPV.

Auto AC

The Carens Clavis EV is likely to continue offering automatic AC with dedicated vents for rear seat passengers, which is also seen in the ICE variant.

Air Purifier

An integrated air purifier could also be available in the EV version, just like the ICE model. 

Powered Driver Seat

The electric Carens Clavis can also offer a 4-way power adjustable driver seat like the ICE version, allowing drivers to find their most comfortable position for driving. The EV can also go further in offering a power adjustable co-driver seat.

360-Degree Camera

The Carens Clavis EV should feature the same 360-degree camera setup as the Clavis ICE for ease of parking and manoeuvrability in tight urban spaces. 

Level-2 ADAS

The Carens Clavis features a level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) in its top-spec HTX Plus variant. The Carens Clavis EV should also follow suit by offering ADAS in its higher-spec trims.
