Just one more day and India will have the German auto major, BMW's first four-door coupe, the all new BMW 6-series Gran coupe, which was first unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The all new BMW 640d Gran Coupe will be competing with some of the finest cars already available in India including Mercedes Benz CLS, Audi A7, Porsche Panmera and likes.
What makes it all different and more aggressive to BMW 6-series from its elder sibling are some major changes like it drops the conventional two-doors and now has the capacity to occupy 5 people. Moreover, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is also distinguished by exclusive features and equipment, roominess for rear passenger comfort and remarkable advanced functionality that is unusual even for an upscale, four-door Coupe. For example, folding rear seatbacks and an auxiliary third seat (4+1 seating) are among the unique design features that contribute to the car's versatility.
Driving dynamics, smooth performance and efficiency are the hallmarks of the TwinPower Turbo engines available for the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. Furthermore, the BMW 60di Gran Coupe houses the 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine that churns out the maximum of 313bhp and 630Nm of peak torque mated to a 8-speed auto transmission.
