The recently surfaced grapevines suggest that the German auto giant, Bavarian Motor Works is pondering over broadening the X range of crossovers. Reportedly the company is probable to introduce BMW X7 and BMW X8 crossovers to rival the likes of upcoming Bentley SUV and Lamborghini Urus. The proposed BMW X7 is expected to be a top-class luxury SUV which would use the modular platform of X5 and would be positioned above it. The car would be infused with the luxury element of the BMW 7-series; it would also borrow other materials and technology from the same. The fusion of BMW X5 and 7-series would result into an impeccable luxury Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) for the future which would right way contend against the new SUV from Bentley, Range Rover and Lamborghini Urus.
The X7 SAV will not be a super-sized version of BMW X5 and in some ways the new SUV will look more like a car with an increasingly sloping roofline which adds to the oomph factor of the car. The BMW X7 is expected to be a straight 10 as far as the luxury credentials of the interiors are concerned. BMW X7 with the wit of 7er technology and base of X5 platform in both the materials and the drive-train is the best offering from the company in the near future. This would also hone the company’s edge in the top-class luxury SUV segment. The proposed BMW X8 will be positioned above the BMW X7 just like the X6 Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) is positioned above the BMW X5.
The BMW X8 will supposedly complete the BMW X range of crossovers which would be an epitome of luxury and adventure. The chances of the notion of BMW X8 being materialized stand at medium and the chances of X8 being recreated within i brand of BMW as BMW i6 are pretty high. It has already been known that BMW is bringing forth X4 in 2014 which will sit on the X3 and will be positioned below X5 SAV. The BMW X4 will be an entry level SAC with a roofline with a similar slope as that of the BMW X6. Under the hood the X4 will be flaunting the engine lineup borrowed from the BMW X3 which includes the four and six cylinder petrol and gasoline engine. BMW is also planning to bring in the second generation of CS coupe which would sit on top of the BMW 7er. It would be named as BMW CS II.
