BMW India to expand its dealership by 2011

BMW India, the Indian arm of the luxury car makers from Germany announced on Thursday that the company will add on its dealership network in the country by 2011.
The company is currently in its first phase of expansion. The luxury car maker already has 12 dealerships in the Indian auto market. BMW released a statement which says that in the Phase II, the company plans to raise its dealerships to as many as 22 outlets.
BMW recently opened its new outlet which is called “OSL Prestige” in Bhubaneswar, Orrisa.
President, BMW India, Andreas Schaaf, ushering on the company's future plans, said that, the company visions to cement its leading place in the Indian auto sector by entering the company's second phase of investment and expansion plans in India. The company is excited after inaugurating OSL Prestige, a new outlet in Bhubanswar, Orrisa. The OSL Prestige is BMW India's dealership partner for the West Bengal. He also continued and said that, the new outlet will strengthens the second Phase of the company's expansion plan in India.
The service outlet is in Cuttack and the dealership showroom is in Shahid Nagar. The state of the art workshop is equipped to service 10 cars every day. The German auto giant in 2007 inaugurated BMW India's manufacturing unit near by Chennai. The upgraded production unit manufactures BMW 3 series and BMW 5 series. The manufacturing unit has a capacity to manufacture 5,400 cars in a single shift.
The luxury car maker recently celebrated the manufacturing of its 10,000 luxury car from the company's Chennai production plant. The company achieved the milestone in just four years of its establishment. In India, BMW's head office, situated in Gurgaon, Haryana, is a fully owned enterprise of BMW Group. BMW owns a spare part storehouse in Mumbai (Maharashtra) other than a production unit in Chennai. The company has gained the leading position in Indian auto market due to its sophisticated technology, advanced features, comfort and abundance of luxury.
In India, BMW owns 10 luxury car models, BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 6 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW Gran Turismo, BMW M Series, BMW X3, BMW X6, BMW Z4 and BMW X5.
