BMW Introduces 740Li DPE At Rs 1.26 Crore

It is the first petrol variant of the 7 Series to be locally assembled in India and is priced at Rs 1.26 crore.
German automaker BMW has silently added a new variant of the 7 Series to its Indian product portfolio, the 740Li Design Pure Excellence Signature. It is also the first petrol variant of the 7 Series to be locally assembled in India and is priced at Rs 1.26 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Other BMW 7 Series variants that are locally assembled are the 730Ld DPE, 730 Ld DPE Signature and the 730Ld M Sport.
The 740Li Design Pure Excellence Signature is powered by a 3.0-litre, turbocharged, inline-six cylinder engine that churns of 326PS of power and 450Nm torque. It has an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission which makes it capable of reaching the 100kmph mark from a standstill in just 5.6 seconds. It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 12.5 kmpl. As a part of the Design Pure Excellence package, it gets additional features like the chrome kidney grille with grey struts, chrome on rear bumper, chrome-finished exhaust tips, and black brake callipers with the BMW logo.
Other important features of the 740Li Design Pure Excellence Signature include dynamic damper control with infinite and independent damping, auto start-stop, active air stream kidney grille, brake energy regeneration, and carbon core construction. In terms of safety, along with the front, side and head airbags, the car is also equipped features like Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control and Cornering Brake Control.
Step inside and you'll be greeted by a bunch of comfort and convenience features like ambient lighting, 4-zone automatic climate control system, BMW Gesture Control, and massaging seats. The 740Li Design Pure Excellence Signature is being offered in four colour options, namely Black Sapphire, Cashmere Silver, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, and Mineral White. Customers interested in petrol variants of the 7 Series can now go for the less expensive BMW 740 Li DPE Signature, rather than the BMW 750Li DPE or M Sport which are priced much higher as they are imported as CBU (Completely Built Unit).
