BMW recently made the season first clean sweep at the DTM race series and to celebrate that occasion, has decided to introduce a limited edition BMW M3 that they have dubbed the DTM Champion. This limited edition M3 will come in only 54 numbers. Yes, that means only 54 units of the DTM Champion will be produced and sold to various international markets but there have been no specifications as to which markets. Production is set to start by early 2013.
The DTM Champion will cost customers roughly 70.61 lakh, a cost at which they will also be offered the chance to take part in BMW's M Fascination driver training program at the Nurburgring circuit. However, the DTM Champion is not expected to come to India.
The M3 limited edition will feature modifications that give it a more race car look in the form of M stripe graphics and decals that adorn the roof and bootlid. The decals are printed on the rear window panels and the fenders. The car comes in an exclusive Frozen Black mettalic paint with matching matte black painted wheels. The interiors have door sills featuring race winning car driver, Bruno Spengler’s helmet design, car’s sequence number and signature.
