World's leading luxury carmaker, BMW has now revealed a facelifted version of its most successful executive sedan, the 5-Series, which is in its six generation now. Expected to go on sale in Australia in a couple of months, the facelifted BMW 5 Series has received some styling updates, a new entry level diesel variant and some additional features.
The BMW 5-Series facelift has now received additional contour lines for the surround of the BMW kidney grille, newly structure lower air intakes, extra crease on rear apron, front fog lamps with added chrome surrounds, revamped rear lights and new alloy wheels. Moreover, Xenon headlights are fitted as standard on all models, while Adaptive LED Headlights take their place on the options list for the first time alongside LED fog lamps.
The BMW 5 Series facelift also has been offered with the BMW Luxury Line and BMW Modern Line packages containing exclusive design and equipment features. And an M Sport package tailored to each model variant can also be specified. While inside the cabin, the control display of the standard-fitted iDrive operating system is now bordered with chrome strip, which helps the car to have more storage space. A revised rear section increases the boot capacity of the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo by 60 litres to 500 litres. New exterior paint colours, light-alloy wheels, upholstery colours and interior trim elements for all the BMW 5 Series models enhance their appeal and increase the scope for individualisation.
And like we mentioned above, the BMW 5-Series has also received a new entry-level diesel variant called the 518d. The company hasn't announced anything on its Indian launch, we can expect the facelifted 5-Series to come to India as well by the end of this year.
This is all what we have for now, stay tuned to CarDekho for more updates on the same. Cheers!
