BYD has unveiled the Atto 3 in India. Bookings for the electric SUV are now underway with a token amount of Rs 50,000, and the deliveries of the first 500 units will commence in January. The carmaker plans to sell over 15,000 units of the Atto 3 by the next year and also set up a local manufacturing facility.
With the Atto 3, early customers can also avail of an introductory promotional package that includes the installation of a 7kW wall charger, a 3kW portable charging box, three years free subscription of 4G data (data limit of 2GB/month), six years of roadside assistance and six free-labor-cost maintenance (only labor cost will be waived off).

BYD’s electric SUV is powered by a 60.48kWh battery pack, paired with a single motor, making 204PS and 310Nm. This combination provides it with an ARAI-claimed range of 521km. It is equipped with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen display, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, seven airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and more.
The Atto 3 will launch in December with an expected price of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be a premium alternative to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona electric.
