While details are scarce about the electric powertrain of the India-spec model, we are expecting it to be offered with BYD’s Blade battery pack. Internationally, BYD offers the Atto 3 with two battery pack options in two versions: Standard (50kWh) and Extended (60kWh). While the former comes with a claimed range of 345km, the latter has a certified range of 420km (both WLTP rated). Both versions get a single-motor, front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) making 204PS and 310Nm. The Atto 3 completes the 0-100kmph run in 7.3 seconds.
In terms of features, expect the Atto 3 to get a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, keyless entry, and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen system. Its safety kit is likely to include up to seven airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
