Along with some premium mass-market EVs, June 2025 will witness Mercedes-Benz introducing a couple of high performance AMG models in India
While May 2025 saw a lot of mass-market car launches including the Kia Carens Clavis and the facelifted Tata Altroz, June 2025 will see the introduction of some premium EVs including the much-awaited Tata Harrier EV. This month will also see Mercedes-Benz bring out two AMG models in the nation, aligning with its goal to introduce 8 models in India this year. Let us take a look at all the upcoming expected and confirmed car launches in India in June 2025:
Tata Harrier EV
Debut Date: June 03, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom)
After being showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Tata Harrier EV was again showcased in its production avatar in March 2025. Recently, the carmaker has said that the all-electric Harrier will debut in India on June 03, 2025. It will get a similar design to the combustion-powered Harrier, with minor tweaks to denote it’s the electric version.
Inside, it will have a similar design to the ICE-powered Harrier and a feature suite including a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10-speaker JBL sound system. It will also get an EV-specific summon mode, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V). Its safety suite will consist of 7 airbags, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors and a Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.
While powertrain details are yet to be revealed, the Harrier EV will have a dual-motor setup with a claimed range of 500 km. Upon launch, it will be Tata Motors’ flagship EV in India and is expected to cost from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Cyberster
Launch Date: Expected In June 2025
Expected Price: Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
Another EV that is likely to make its way in India is the MG Cyberster, which was also on the display at the Auto Expo 2025. This 2-door coupe electric roadster gets LED headlights with petal-like LED DRLs, a black lower grille with functional air vents, 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, arrow-shaped LED tail lights and an LED lightbar. However, the highlight is the scissor doors, which can make it the most affordable car in India to get such a feature.
Inside, it gets a futuristic design with triple screens on the dashboard (including two 7-inch screens and a 10.25-inch touchscreen). It also features another display for AC controls and the driver-centric dashboard design gives a fighter jet-like feel. It is equipped with 6-way electrically adjustable heated seats with a memory function, an electrically openable and foldable roof and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. Its safety suite consists of 6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a Level-2 ADAS suite with features such as adaptive cruise control and active emergency braking.
It gets a 77 kWh battery pack, mated to a dual-motor setup that puts out a combined output of 510 PS and 725 Nm, while running up to 443 km in a single charge. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) with the carmaker’s battery rental scheme.
MG M9
Launch Date: Expected In June 2025
Expected Price: Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom)
Another MG model that is expected to go on sale in India in June 2025 is the M9 MPV, which is the rebadged version of the Maxus Mifa 9 that is available in international markets. In addition to a boxy silhouette like the Toyota Vellfire, the M9 features a clean design with projector LED headlights, 19-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels and connected LED tail lights.
Inside, it gets a layered dashboard with a dual-tone black and tan finish, which is also carried over to the leatherette upholstery on the seats. The M9 will get an option between 6- or 7-seats like the international-spec model. Like the other MG cars, it will be loaded with features to its brim, including a single-pane sunroof for the front passengers and a panoramic sunroof for the rear passengers, dual digital displays, powered and ventilated 1st and 2nd row seats with massage function and a 3-zone auto AC. Its safety suite will include multiple airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera and a Level-2 ADAS suite.
While the detailed specifications of the India-spec M9 are yet to be revealed, the internationally available model gets a 90 kWh battery pack which has a WLTP-claimed range of over 400 km. It is mated with a 244 PS front-axle-mounted (FWD) electric motor.
The MG M9 will be offered in India via the CKD route and its prices are expected to start from around Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mercedes-AMG G 63 India-spec Special Edition
Launch Date: June 12, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 3.50 crore (ex-showroom)
Mercedes-Benz recently announced the introduction of a new Collector’s Edition in the AMG G 63 lineup which will be inspired by India. The Collector’s Edition is expected to have a bright orange paint scheme, which will be exclusive to it. It can also get some customised badges and alloy wheels to highlight its uniqueness against the already special AMG G-Class SUV. The interior is also expected to get a different theme with some changes to the seat upholstery and materials used inside.
That said, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition will get the same 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that puts out a massive 585 PS and 850 Nm with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup.
It is expected to be launched in India in limited numbers and will have a considerable premium over the regular AMG model that is currently priced at Rs 3.3 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India).
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 & GT Pro
Launch Date: June 26, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 3.50 crore (ex-showroom)
Not only will Mercedes launch the limited-edition G-Class model, it will also introduce its flagship GT 63 and GT Pro models in India. Notably, this launch will mark the resurrection of the carmaker’s GT nameplate in India, which was absent in India since 2020.
While its design continues to draw inspiration from the first-generation model, one major change is that the new GT 63 variants get a 2+2 seating, compared to the older iteration of the sportscar that was strictly a 2 seater. The dimensions have also increased by a considerable margin, rendering it with a slightly more boot and cabin space.
The interior is similar to the India-spec Mercedes-AMG SL 55 with sport seats for the front passengers, a 3-spoke AMG-specific steering wheel, a 12.3-inch driver’s display and an 11.9-inch touchscreen laid out in a portrait orientation.
The highlight however, is the 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that produces 577 PS and 800 Nm in the regular GT 63 variant, which is further enhanced by the GT 63 Pro trim that puts out a whooping 612 PS and 850 Nm. Notably, the Pro version of the coupe does a 0-200 kmph run in just 10.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 317 kmph.
Prices of the GT 63 are expected to start from 3 crore, while the Pro version is expected to have a considerable premium over it.
