If a comparison is done between the Hyundai Eon D-Lite(O) with Maruti Alto Lxi version, the price is a big difference. All the models of Maruti Alto are much cheaper than the 6 models of Hyundai EON. Huyundai EON proudly boasts it ARAI certified mileage of 21.1 kmpl where the new K10 engine of Alto car delivers 20.2 kmpl. But Hyundai Eon has 814 cc of petrol engine, where as new Maruti Alto comes with 998cc K10 petrol engine. Here Maruti Alto takes away the cake, as the engine of Hyundai Eon churns out maximum power of 56 bhp whereas Maruti Alto’s engine produces 68 bhp of power.

Currently, Maruti Alto is the Explore edition for festive season at an attractive price of Rs 2.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the car features 10 new and exciting characters. On the other hand, Hyundai Eon is not offering any kind of discount or free goodies with it and the base variant comes at Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Now coming to the size of the car, Maruti Alto is bigger in size when compared to Hyundai Eon, but Hyundai Eon has more space inside than Maruti Alto.

The design as mentioned earlier, Hyundai Eon has a stylish and chic design, whereas Maruti Alto looks a little old. Hyundai Eon has another highlight, which is the full size door armrest, which is not present in Maruti Alto. Safety wise Hyundai Eon is impressive enough to give a tough competition to India’s bestselling small car, Maruti Alto as the former is bestowed with driver side airbag in top-variant whereas Alto is devoid of it. But this can be accounted for the high price of EON. Well it’s completely upon the buyers as to what is their priority as a comparison cannot lead to a final result between the two small cars.
