Apart from new showcases and updates, two popular Hyundai models were also recalled last week
The past week was full of new showcases and updates on upcoming models. Volkswagen and MG showcased their new models, and we also received a new crash test result for a Citroen model. During the same week, Kia announced a price hike on its cars starting next month, and there are also some interesting spy shots to note. Let’s take a look at all the important highlights of the week.
New Showcases From Volkswagen
Expanding the GT variant lineup of the Volkswagen Taigun and Volkswagen Virtus, the automaker showcased their sportier-looking variants. The prices of these new GT variants are yet to be announced. Additionally, Volkswagen debuted its all-electric ID.4 SUV in India.
Citroen eC3 Crash Tested
Citroen’s all-electric hatchback, the eC3, was crash tested by Global NCAP last week, and it secured 0 star safety rating. Though the bodyshell of the eC3 was rated stable, it still got 0 stars due to less safety features.
Kia Cars To Become Expensive From April
`Kia announced that it will increase the prices of its mass market models, starting from April 2024. The last price hike on Kia cars was announced in October 2023, making this the first price hike on Kia models in 2024.
Two Hyundai Models Recalled
Hyundai has issued a voluntary recall for two of its popular cars, the Creta and Verna. Units manufactured between February 13, 2023 and June 06, 2023 are affected by this recall. Dealerships will individually contact customers of the affected vehicles for the required action as part of the recall.
MG Reveals Its Future Roadmap In India

Tata Tiago EV Received New Features
Tata has silently given minor feature updates to its entry-level electric hatchback, the Tata Tiago EV. It now includes an auto-dimming IRVM (inside rearview mirror) and a front USB Type-C 45W charging port for smartphones.

Audi Q6 e-tron Unveiled Globally
Audi has globally unveiled its all new electric SUV, the Q6 e-tron, which slots below the Q8 e-tron in its global EV lineup. It is based on the Volkswagen Group’s new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, and offers a claimed driving range of up to 625 km.
