Front
Upfront, the SUV has a notably flat nose with a massive black grille, above which you can spot Honda’s signature bit of chrome. However, here they’ve only applied a thin chrome strip spanning the width of the front profile.
It gets a sleek set of LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs and on the bottom edges, the compact SUV gets LED fog lamps housed in black frames. Below all of this, it gets a thin front bumper with a silver element.
Side
From the sides, the Elevate does have more of a crossover look with its rear end protruding outwards. It gets a traditional design for its doors but the SUV comes with body cladding and squared wheel arches for an extra rugged look.
A small but distinctive design choice is the placement of the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). The ORVMs, which are generally placed close to where the A-pillars meet the window line, are positioned on the door panels here.
From here, you can spot the dual-tone design of the 17-inch black and silver diamond-cut alloy wheels which complement its SUV styling. Lastly, the side profile also shows off that the Elevate gets a fair bit of ground clearance (220mm).
Rear
The rear end of the Elevate has an overall muscular appearance with sharp lines and creases. At the top, it also features a roof-mounted rear spoiler.
Just like the front, the wraparound LED tail lamps also get a sleek design which are connected by a reflector element. The space for the registration plate is just under it, on the bootlid.
Lastly, the rear bumper is bigger than the front one and looks more bulky with thick cladding for added rugged appeal. The wheel arches merge into the rear bumper which also has a silver contrast element just like the front bumper.
Price & Rivals
The Honda Elevate is expected to be priced from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards and could be launched by September 2023. The Honda SUV, once launched, will go head to head with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
