Chevrolet Beat painted in Manchester United colors arrives at dealerships

As the world witnesses the ace tournament of football, Chevrolet being the official sponsor of Manchester United showcases a limited edition of Beat and Sail U-VA hatchs at its dealership across the country. This limited edition christened as Manchester United Edition is offered on the Beat LS model with an extra payment of Rs 60,000 to Rs 80,000, (depending upon the features). The manufacturer is offering the Manchester United limited edition on the first come, first served basis and the offer is valid till the stock lasts. The tentative date for the launch is July 7th, 2014.
The car was first showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo where it was admired by numerous football buffs. Now as the FIFA World Cup enters into its second stage, the manufacturer has started showcasing the limited edition at its selected dealerships. One can avail the Manchester United Edition with an extra payment of Rs 60,000 to Rs 80,000 on the base PS variant in both petrol and diesel models. Painted in striking red color, this special edition offers club's logo on bonnet, side profile and on interiors along with the stylish body decals on side profile. The front grille also gets a chrome lining.
Apart from the cosmetic touch-ups, the special edition also comes equipped with body colored ORVMs, roof rails, set of alloy wheels, red and black colored leather seat covers, leather wrapped steering wheel, 2 DIN music system with four speakers and Bluetooth connectivity, illuminated LED scuff plates and reverse parking sensors.
We called a few dealers and they confirmed as that if one opts for a higher variant say LT or LT Option, the price of limited edition package gets decreased as most of the features are already listed and buyer would only be charged for the stickers and logos.
Nothing on the engine compartment is changed as the hatch will keep on housing its tried and tested 1.0-litre, SMARTECH diesel power-train that churns a max output of 57.6bhp with peak torque of 150Nm while the petrol models carry 1.2-litre SMARTECH petrol engine which develops power in figures of 79.3bhp and peak torque of 108Nm. The diesel model delivers an astonishing mileage of 25.44kmpl. These engines are combined with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox, which transmits power to front wheels of the car.
Chevrolet Beat base petrol model PS comes with a price tag of Rs 3.96 lakh while the top of the line LT option is offered at Rs 5.11 lakh. In the diesel category, Beat comes in the price range of Rs 4.77lakh to Rs 5.93lakh. (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
