Images of the Chevrolet Cruze facelift have surfaced online. The updated premium sedan features a revised front and rear fascia. On the front of it, the new D-segment sedan features a much more aggressive bumper and a split grill. The front bumper also houses LED DRLs and incorporates chrome accents and is shared with its Australian iteration, the Holden Cruze. At the rear, the bodywork remains relatively unchanged but incorporates a spoiler lip.
Under the Hood, the car remains mechanically unchanged and continues to incorporate the 2.0-liter turbo diesel mill, which produces 166PS of power and 360Nm of peak torque. The powerplant comes mated to an automatic transmission and Chevrolet claims that the sedan can deliver a fuel economy of 14.8kmpl. Also, Cruze incorporates disc brakes on all four corners.
The most notable changes are found inside the cabin. The Cruze facelift flaunts the 7-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system, which we find in the American automaker larger offering, the Chevrolet Trailblazer. The entertainment unit also enables internet radio streaming via Stitcher SmartRadio and is compatible with Siri voice recognition system available on Apple devices like iPad and iPhone. The touchscreen unit also offers AC controls but misses out on navigation system.
The car will be launched a couple of weeks after its showcase at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo which will be held from 5th to 9th of February and will rival the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis, Renault Fluence and Skoda Octavia
