Just a few days after the launch of the facelift model, Chevrolet Cruze prices have been slashed!
Chevrolet launched the updated Cruze just a day ahead of the 2016 Indian Auto Expo earlier this month. The facelifted 2016 Cruze was launched at Rs. 14.68 Lacs (Ex-showroom Delhi). After the price cut, the 2016 Cruze now starts at Rs. 13.95 Lacs getting a considerable reduction of Rs. 73,000. The top-spec automatic variant - LTZ AT is attracting the maximum cutback of Rs. 86,000 and will now be retailed at Rs. 16.95 Lacs compared to Rs. 17.81 Lacs earlier. Coming to the top-end manual variant, LTZ MT, it offers Rs. 80,000 reduction in its retail prices which was Rs.16.75 Lacs earlier and now the current price is Rs. 15.95 Lacs.
Speaking of the updates, not much has changed in the Cruze, though the automaker has added few features and aesthetic updated to keep the vehicle competitive. It gets current iteration of the Chevy’s grille along with daytime running LEDs and projector foglamps. It also receives a rear lip spoiler. On the inside, the highlight is the addition of Chevrolet’s My-Link touchscreen infotainment system. The 7-inch unit features embedded applications including internet radio functionality (Sticher SmartRadio), Grace Note & SIRI Eyes Free Compatibility, Bluetooth Audio Streaming & Phone telephony with Voice Recognition control and Touch controls for Automatic HVAC & Vehicle Personalisation settings. It also features rear vision camera support. However, like the Trailblazer, the infotainment system misses out on navigation.
Mechanically, Cruze remains unaltered and continues to be powered by the 2.0-liter VCDi diesel engine. The motor comes with an option of 6-Speed auto and manual transmissions.
