Daimler AG to provide bonus to employees as a part of its 125th anniversary

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating company's 125th birth anniversary and this day marks a spacial event for the company as the founder Carl Benz patented his creation which laid the foundation for the massive auto sector. The Daimler AG, parent enterprise of the luxury car manufacturer Mercedes Benz has announced a special bonus of up to 1,000 euro ($1,370) for each employee of the company across the globe to share the festivities of the 125th anniversary.
As per the sources, the payment will be 125 million euro which will be made by the end of February. The reward will be given to anyone who has worked with the company for more than a year; however the amount will depend on its tenure. As per an estimation Dailmer has a headcount of 260,000 employees across globe and in Germany it has around 165,000 employees. Dieter Zetsche CEO said that the reward is for employees' contribution to the luxury auto brand.
As per the sources Daimler also gave a separate bonus of 3,150 euros to the workers in Germany as mark of the successful performance in the last year. For the bonus given to the workers in Germany the payment will be made in the 3rd or 4th week of April. Zetsche was also heard quoting that the employees contributed significantly in the comeback of Dailmer as a brand in the last year.
