The redi-GO raises hope for Datsun to get a jump start in the country with its competitive pricing.
Datsun is still trying to establish itself as a brand in the country. Nissan re-introduced the Datsun brand in the auto biz with the GO hatchback, which was a mainstream product and was priced competitively. Then a stretched version of the GO-hatch, the GO+ was introduced. Both did not yield the results that Datsun was aiming for. Now, the Japanese automaker has come with the redi-GO, an unconventional approach in the entry-level segment much like its French partner Renault’s offering, the Kwid. Datsun is calling it the country’s first ‘Urban Cross’. Here’s what this Urban Cross has to offer.
