Fiat India is offering discounts on Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Grande Punto hatchback to attract more footfall at its showrooms. While the discounts on Fiat Linea range up to Rs 1.3 lakh, the discount offered on the Fiat Grande Punto rounds up to Rs 75,000. With Fiat Linea, the company is offering an exchange bonus upto Rs 20,000 while Fiat will offer insurance for the first year at just Rs 1. Along with this, a free roadside assistance for 50 months and a gift cheque will be offered to make the total discount to Rs 1.3 lakh. On the other hand, for Fiat Punto, the discount totaling Rs 75,000 includes an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 while Fiat offers you the first year insurance at Rs 1. A free roadside assistance for 50 months and a gift cheque are part of the scheme.

However the funny part of this scheme is that the exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 on the Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea respectively will be offered only on exchange of your old car. A Fiat Linea is presently available at Rs 6.5 lakh where you have shell out Rs 4.31 lakh (both ex-showroom prices for base variants) for Fiat Grande Punto. Now, not many people own a Fiat Punto or Fiat Linea and even if they do so, they would be least interested in exchanging their cars for such low discounts.
