India's leading engine producer Fiat, which has recently parted its ways with Tata Motors, is now working aggressively on its future plans. The company which has already disclosed its future line-up, has now at the inauguration of first exclusive dealership in Delhi said that there will be 100 exclusive dealerships of Fiat across the country by the end of the year. The dealerships will be opened everywhere including Metros, Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier- III cities in two phases.
Speaking about the same Fiat Group Automobiles Private Ltd MD Enrico Atanasio told PTI, "We will open 100 exclusive dealerships by the end of 2013. We have already signed agreements for top 35 cities in terms of market across India,"
While in the first phase, the company will target metros and tier-1 cities, then in the second phase, there will be several tier-II and tier-III cities. The company which hasn't been doing good till now wants to give it a fresh and big start again, and their plans speak more than their words, "The target of 70 exclusive dealership would be completed by March this year," Atansio said.
The company which only sells two cars at the moment- Fiat Punto and Linea, will bring in the Punto Abarth in the third quarter of 2013, and then there will be Fiat-Chrysler's Jeep Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee in the fourth quarter. However, it's early to comment on how things would work for Fiat this time, their aggressive strategy and confidence bring positive vibes.
