Fiat India has decided to put on hold the launch of its Fiat Bravo in India. The company wants to rebuilt its brand in India and the unveiling of the Fiat Bravo is a part of the marketing strategy. Mr Rajeev Kapoor, CEO, Fiat India Automobiles said that the market scenario is not upto the expectations and forced the company to put it off. He added that for the car which is priced above Rs 20 lakh, there is clearly a lack of interest. Fiat Bravo will be imported as a completely built unit in India and would have attracted hundred percent duty on the same. It intends to launch Fiat Grand Punto on 17th of this month. Moreover, Fiat does not intend to launch models in the same segment that would compete with each other or with the Tata Motors portfolio.
