Fiat rolls out 4 million units of Multijet engine

Fiat added another feather in its cap by rolling out the 4 million units of Multi jet engine across globe. Fiat 1.3 litre Multi Jet powertrain commenced its development in 2003, it is a progression from Fiat's common rail system invented by the Italian auto firm in 1997. Fiat's Multi Jet is still liked globally and has went under loads of development and is being sold in many auto markets world wide. The 1248cc powertrain comes in two power options across world ranging from 75 bhp along with fixed geometry turbocharger to 90 bhp matted with variable geometry turbocharger.
The powertrain Multi Jet is affixed in many cars of Fiat such as Fiat Panda and Fiat Punto family. It is also powers Lancia Ypsilon, Alfa Romeo MiTo (the mill is advertise as JTDm). Fiat since 2008 has produced 1.3 litre 16v Multi Jet in the company's engine unit in Ranjangaon. In the domestic auto market, Fiat's MultiJet is loaded in Fiat 500, Fiat Stile, Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea and also in Maruti Suzuki cars such as Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti Ritz (rolled out as DDiS). It is being learnt that Maruti SX4 will also be loaded with 1.3 lite 90 bhp Multi Jet powertrain. Fiat's engine also empowers Tata Motors car models like Tata Indica Vista and Tata Indigo Manza, here it is called as QuadraJet. Fiat is soon to sell the 4 millionth Multi Jet engine powered in Fiat 500 to a French buyer.
