Fiat would not bring new cars in India till 2014

Italian Pizzas and Italian Cars have always been the special and yummy choice for the Indians. But just as Pizzas have not changed their existing style since ages, Fiat has also come up with the bold idea of no new Fiat models to be launched until 2013-14. This latest declaration indicate that we can only expect positive variation in the existing models of Fiat products in India, the Fiat Linea Sedan, the Fiat Grande Punto Hatchback and the Fiat Palio Stile for the coming two years.

In January 2010, Fiat had said that it was preparing a small car to be positioned below the Fiat Punto and Fiat Palio, which will hit the markets by 2012. The proposed small car was thought with the brilliant idea of increasing the Fiat's sales through out the country. But the Chief executive officer of Fiat India, Mr. Rajeev Kapoor has recently told that the company has no plans to launch a new car until 2013-14. Mr. Kapoor said the company will instead work to refresh the features and the looks of the existing products. The company is also working on the lines to bring a new brand strategy which would intensify the Italianess of the brand. In the later part of the announcement, he mentioned, Fiat India will indeed launch new variants of the the Fiat Linea and the Fiat Grande Punto to maintain the interest levels in the Fiat products.
