Ford Fiesta AT spied at a dealer stockyard

The auto industry is abuzz with the news of Ford planning to launch the Automatic variant of its Ford Fiesta sedan. Ford India is working out every possible strategy to ramp up the lukewarm sales of Ford Fiesta sedan. A close source got its hands on the new Ford Fiesta Automatic right in a dealers' stockyard. Visually, not many boastable modifications were observed on the sedan, except for the automatic badge to mark the distinction.

The earlier speculations of the Ford Fiesta Automatic Transmission to come installed with a 6-speed dual clutch powershift automatic gearbox is slightly far-fetched, as the spied images of the sedan do not show the paddle-shifters on the steering. The paddle shifters are commonly found in the cars with the dual clutch powershift gearbox, which is missing to rule out the possibility of the 6-speed automatic transmission. This leaves the option of the conventional 5-speed or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The launch of the Ford Fiesta Automatic might not turn the tables for the Ford Fiesta sales, but however with the right timing and a feasible price tag might help the auto major getting things under control. The strong competitors of Ford fiesta in the C-segment sedans are Volkswagen Vento AT and Hyundai Verna AT.
