Ford India, the veterans in the hatchbacks manufacturing, is currently engaged in testing the Ford Fiesta under the different driving conditions on the Indian Roads. The Ford Fiesta hatchback, which is a variant of the Ford Fiesta sedan is still not scheduled for its launch and there are numerous speculations airing around, few of which express apprehensions about the possible postponement of the launch date beyond 2012.

The Ford Fiesta hatchback, being a variation of the Ford Fiesta sedan, is likely to be priced higher for the hatchback segment placing it in the premium league, and one can only hope that the history does not repeat itself, as in case of Honda Jazz, which despite being an excellent car had not been successful due to its outrageous pricing in the hatchback segment. Apparently, Ford India has decided not to compromise on its international standards and wishes to bring in the same comfort and quality in India as well, and hence the justification of its high price.

Coming to the Ford Fiesta hatchback specs, Ford Fiesta hatchback engine options could be 1.5 litre, 108 Bhp Ti-VCT petrol engine and 1.5 litre 90 Bhp TDCI diesel engine,specifically developed, considering the low fuel consumption.
