Ford Figo bookings crossed 10,000 unit mark

Ford Figo, which was launched in India last month is receiving a very good response with booking around 10,000 Figo  in less then one month. To catch up with this high demand, Ford India is planning to launch its second production shift at its Chennai Plant.

Due to the high sales of Figo model total sales of Ford India in March has increased to 9,478 units, accounted for a whooping 203 percent increase as compare to the same period of last year. Besides the Ford Figo, other models of company including Ford Ikon, Ford Fiesta, and Ford Endeavour, were almost tripled Ford India’s February sales, increasing 194 percent.

Company is very excited with the initial response to Ford Figo in India and is incredibly proud to have struck such a positive chord with Indian consumers, said Michael Boneham, president and managing director of Ford India. The launch of Figo is the start of a transformed Ford in India and a true reflection of Company's commitment to delivering world-class products that allow Indian customers to feel the difference, he added.

Company is also looking to export the Ford Figo in overseas markets from India, but first the company will analyze the response of the Indian customers and then only plan about exporting it to other countries.
