Ford India is also Testing Over 4m Version of the Figo-Compact-Sedan

Couple of weeks ago, 2015 Figo and its sub-4m compact sedan was spied testing, this recent spy shot reveals that Ford India is also testing the over four meter version of the sedan in the country. The upcoming-duo are already on sale in Brazil and indeed the sedan is over four meter there. But since we have tax benefits from vehicle falling under four meter, Ford India will stick with the compact version of it (length under 4-m). Moreover, since India is the major export hub for the American manufacturer the over four meter version of the sedan is strictly for the export purpose.

Adding on the upcoming Duo, reportedly sedan is coming before the hatchback in couple of months. Both the vehicles feature a fresh new design inside-out and was earlier spotted featuring ‘My-Ford-Dock’  - mobile docking station, which holds your smart phone above the audio system for navigation and charging. Like before, 2015 Figo-duo will be offered with Bluetooth phone integration along with other connectivity options. Moreover, SYNC is offered in Brazil, probabilities of offering it in India are less.

Speaking of the engines - 2015 Figo duo will most probably get new petrol and diesel engines. Petrol is likely to be the newly developed 1.0-liter TiVCT 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol (offered in Brazil too) along with Fiesta/EcoSport derived 1.5-liter TDCi turbo diesel. The petrol motor produces a healthy 80-85 bhp and close to 105 Nm of peak torque. The diesel will be a slightly detuned version of 1.5-liter TDCI generating 75  bhp and close to 195 Nm of max torque. Transmission will be five-speed manual with both the engine options. Except high fuel efficiency figures from both the engines.

PS: Look's like yellow shade will be offerd with the Figo Facelift!
