Ford India triples its sale, registers 198% growth YOY basis

Ford India, is celebrating as the sales of the company has accelerated almost three times more by achieving a growth of 198 per cent over last year's sales in November. Ford India, in November, 2010 sold 7,504 units against November, 2009 sales of 2,520 units.

In this year till November, 2010, Ford sale rose to 185 per cent, rolling out 79,586 units when compared to last year's sale of 27,906 units till November.

The American auto company launched its hatchback Ford Figo in March 2010. The company already achieved the milestone of 58,000 units in the domestic market till November 2010. Ford also celebrated its success of 50,000th Ford Figo by auctioning the car and using the money for social causes. The hatchback Ford Figo, is available in both diesel and petrol version in a price range of Rs 3,49,900 – Rs 5,29,900. Ford also holds strong products in various other segments also such as the sedans Ford Ikon and Ford Fiesta. The company also owns a vehicles in the SUV segment Ford Endeavour.

Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India, elated, said that, For Ford India, 2010 has been an outstanding year in terms of sale. The company feels extremely happy with the response they have received from the Indian buyers on Ford cars.

Ford India with the response it has received from the domestic auto market wish to encash more in its favour. The company recently expanded on its dealership network to 170 in more than 100 cities in India.

Ford India, as a token of thanks to its customers, has come up with “December Dhamaal”, a unique sale. This time Ford has come with this huge discount for 10 days . Under this scheme, Ford is providing discount and special interest rates on its cars. In this 10 days sale offer, especially on 4th of December, the company decided to open the showroom from 8 am till midnight. The customers were welcomed and were given all the information on Ford cars and helped the buyers to select their favourite Ford car. Ford India, is providing a lavage of Rs 70,000 on Ford Ikon and Rs 71,000 discount on Ford Fiesta. The company will provide special interest rate of 8 per cent on Ford Figo and Ford Endeavour. On 4th of December, the customers also had a chance of winning gifts upto one crore such as LCD, Fridge, DVDs and mobile handsets.
