Ford rolls out lucrative offers on diesel variants too

Unlike Maruti India and General Motors , Ford India decided to offer the lucrative discounts with the diesel cars also on the platter. However, Ford Figo diesel is dropped out of the equation which makes more sense if it is not included in the discount offer. Basically, the entire Ford line-up in India is on the discount offer. The Ford Fiesta Classic diesel fans are not disappointed this time, as the consumers are most welcome to avail the massive discounts offered as a part of the ‘December Dhamaal’, the way Ford India likes to call it.

The auto major is trying to push the Ford Fiesta sales as much as possible with a discount offer up to Rs 75,000 on the petrol variant. Given a choice between a petrol and a diesel variant of the Ford Fiesta sedan, it would be the diesel variant that outsells the petrol variant. So, the Ford dealers chose to make the most of it to push the overall sales of the Ford Fiesta sedan. As a part of it, the dealers are bound to win the hearts of the diesel car consumers offering the Ford Fiesta diesel also with some attractive discounts. The Ford Endeavour which is again offered in both petrol and diesel variants is the part of the Ford discount offer.

Unfortunately for Ford, the Fiesta sedan can never be termed as what you call a ‘volume puller’ in the C-segment sedans. Ford India is apparently looking at a major growth in the country with the plans to introduce new cars by 2015.
