Ford to bring 7 seat MPV built on Fiesta platform

Ford, one of the biggest names in the world of automobile world is speculated to come up with a new seven seater Multi Utility Vehicle in coming three years. The MUV is expected to share the platform of Ford Fiesta. One can call this upcoming MUV as the extension of B-Max MPV, which was showcased at the Geneva 2011.

The company is intending to bring more models with different body styles and standing on the famous Ford Fiesta platform. Out of the plans company will come up with a beautiful sedan by the month of June or July 2011 and then the next is expected to be a compact car for 2012. Coming to the third car model, Ford is expected to come up with mini Sports Utility Vehicle which is to first launch in South America and then will be taken to other auto markets. And what we are discussing here is the expected fourth model from the company’s stable, a seven seater MUV from Ford. The car will come loaded with company’s kinetic design touches.

With Ford, known for its expertise in car designing, coming up with an MUV is sure change the definition of the segment cars. For now an MUV is considered as a boring vehicle but Ford is sure to unveil some exciting futures in the car which will keep this model distinct from others.

In India the market leader of MPV is nothing but only and only,  Toyota Innova which completes the definition of an MUV. Among other players we have Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo which have performed well in the market but nowhere was able to shake the market giant, Toyota Innova.

In the upcoming Ford MUV we might see a 2 litre four-cylinder diesel engine,with most of the parts taken from Ford Fiesta saloon.
