Ford's Fiesta hatchback skeleton calls for attention amidst grand stage setting

Right from the Ford’s stage setting to the variety of impressive cars it brought to the Auto Expo were amazing. And the new car line-up from  Ford India did match the glittering stage background perfectly. But, what gained maximum attention was the Ford Fiesta hatchback skeleton which was also brought for a display to let the Indian consumers know what they are about to bring to the Indian car market in near future. Made out of the boron steel alloy, the hatchback will undoubdetly meet the needs of Indian roads and quite obviously Ford India is not looking at the light weight models which seem to be in crazy demand of late.

We might as well take a hint from here that the Fiesta hatchback price could be economical not pushing the higher numbers as seen with its parent model Ford Fiesta sedan. However, that’s a little far-fetched at the moment as the hatchback is still in the development stage and not expected to make it to the domestic market any time soon. Either way, one thing is for sure. The Ford Fiesta hatchback built on the Ford Fiesta sedan just like Ford EcoSport has been, is one of the products Ford India has promised to bring into the Indian car market in next four years. We can readily see the Ford EcoSport launch happening much before than that by mid-end of 2012, which was also a part of the glitterati at the Auto Expo.

Eight new products is what Ford India has promised and we can already see two of them in the pipe-line. But, even as we come to an end of the Auto Expo 2012, Ford India’s stage setting and the grandeur are still most talked about topics and definitely something to carry it home. Ford India’s effort to leave a mark at the Auto Expo was quite evident who hopes to make something big in the country. Ford’s Vice-President of Design, J Mays himself has taken great pains to turn creative for the Auto Expo in the country in which they are determined to explore growth opportunities at any cost. Now that they have the weapon, EcoSport compact SUV, they did not leave a slightest reason to go amiss at the show.
