Japanese automaker Honda has officially revealed the India-bound Honda Accord facelift. The latest generation of this premium Sedan was showcased at the recently-culminated 2016 Indian Auto Expo. The sedan showcased at the expo was the pre-facelift version.
The new car features cosmetic updates, which apply to both the interiors as well as the exteriors of the premium sedan. Speaking of the aesthetic updates, one can easily spot a new chrome grill which sits right between the all new LED headlamps that are set above the redesigned aggressive front bumpers, which also encases LED fog lamps. This LED treatment is continued at the rear as well with the LED taillamp clusters.
Only inside the interiors remain largely unchanged but with the exception to the new piano black and wood trim. Features like a 7.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which features WiFi Hotspot, Apple CarPlay and mirrorlink connectivity is also available in the Accord facelift but the highlight of the car’s has to be the remote ignition facility.
Under the Hood the facelift Accord will be powered by a 2.4-litre and a 2.0-litre petrol power plants which will produce 172 BHP and 153 BHP, respectively. Honda will also be bringing a petrol electric hybrid variant of its premium sedan facelift to India. The car will rival the likes of Toyota Camry Hybrid in the market and will be its arch rival. Camry has been dominating the premium sedan segment for quite sometime, courtesy of its competitive pricing and plethora of features.
