In light of the upcoming festive season, Honda has launched a special edition variant of the Amaze, based on its second-to-base S variant. It is available with both petrol and diesel engines and can be specced with either a manual transmission or a CVT. You will have to shell out Rs 12,000 more for the special edition.

On the features front, the special edition variant comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that was previously available only on the higher-end variants of the Amaze. What’s more, you now get a sliding armrest for the front row. Honda has also given the S special edition variant new seat covers to distinguish it from the other variants. Apart from these functional features, you get new stickers on the outside of the car and a special edition logo and badging.
For an additional Rs 12,000, Honda seems to be offering a lot of extra kit here. The touchscreen definitely makes the S variant a lot more appealing and the sliding armrest for the front row is something you don’t get even in the higher variants. This will definitely be a sore point for anyone looking to get a higher variant of the Amaze or someone who already owns one.
Honda hasn’t announced a limited number run for the Amaze so we expect it to be on sale for a few months. It will continue to rival the Maruti Dzire, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.
