Honda and Ford the world's leading auto marker effected greatly by the Japan crisis are planning to cut the productions in their facilities. As per the sources this production reduction will continue for next 3 to 5 months. Honda Motors the Japaneses automobile marker, supplying its cars on global level will temporarily cut its automobile production in Thailand. Because the company is facing shortage of components supply.

Honda is producing vehicles on large scale in Thailand but is now ready to close it for some time. The company is producing Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda City, Honda Jazz, Honda Brio and Honda CR-V in that market. Honda's Thailand based facilities has production capacity of 240,000 units per year.

Jiraphol Rujiviphat, chief of public relations for Honda Automobile (Thailand) reported that the company is enable to get the auto parts from Japanese auto components manufacturers, so production for these cars may be haulted for some time. He said that over 110 of Honda's suppliers are located in the Japanese earthquake-hit zone and the enable to produce the components for some time.

On the other hand another US auto major Ford Motors is also facing the same crisis and is ready cut the production capacity for some time. As per the company sources it may stop the production in Asia based facilities. Presently the company is looking some components makers which can supply the parts for Ford vehicles for some time.
