Honda Jazz in Rs 7 lakh

Honda Jazz will be launched on June 10. Sources said that it will be priced close to Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). If this cost is true than it will be the most-expensive hatchback manufactured in India after Skoda's Fabia. Fabia is priced at Rs 4.9 lakh on the petrol version and Rs 5.81 lakh on diesel. With a premium tag, it promises to create a new segment by offering riding comfort and safety features like sedans, apart from fuel-efficiency.  Honda is believed to offer the car with features like airbag, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and G-CON Technology (an advanced passive shielding that offers the occupant a survival zone in case of an unavoidable collision). Honda Jazz has to compete with sedans like Maruti Suzuki's Dzire, which also priced below Rs 7 lakh. Models like Ford Ikon, Ford Fiesta and others from the stable of Tata are also priced below Rs 7 lakh, making it a tough ride for Jazz.
