Honda sheens at 2011 “Lowest True Cost to Own” awards

Honda Motors is surely having a gala time lately and the main reason of this joy is that this car manufacturer has been able to bag 5 honors at the 2011 “Lowest True Cost to Own” awards. These awards are organized every year by an online automotive research website. In all, these awards comprise of twenty three categories and  estimate the overall cost of the ownership in the time frame of 5 years.  This year, Honda Motors came out shining as it stood out as a winner on 2 major categories. The new Honda Accord was counted amongst the best Honda cars which could be easily owned in the timeframe.

Other awards bagged by Honda were in the categories of Sedans priced in the range of $20,000 to $30,000 and Coupe tagged at $25,000 to $35,000. The Hybrid Category of the awards was also ruled by Honda Civic Hybrid. On the other hand, in the SUV segment $35000-$45000 and the Large Light Duty Truck category, Honda Pilot and Honda Ridgeline were successful in winning the respective awards.  Following the footsteps of Honda Motors was Ford Motors, which stood at the 2nd position and also won the award for their cars, which are affordable in the timeframe.

Ford Ranger was declared as the winner in Compact Truck category, whereas Wagon Over $35000 category and Under $20000 category was also ruled by Ford Flex and Ford Fiesta respectively. Even in the Van/Minivan category, Ford Transit Connect won. Ford Motors is surely roaring with its success. It has also recently launched brand new Ford Fiesta in India too.

Now the award winning Honda Accord is also available in India. The new Honda Accord is accessible to the consumers in 2 fuel variants. The car not only delivers superb performance but is also said to be fuel efficient and stylish. Currently, Honda Accord price in India lands within the price range of Rs 19,60,500 - Rs 26,96,72. Apart from the new Honda Accord, Honda Motors is also speculated to launch Honda CR-V in next few months. Some of the other popular car models by Honda include Honda City, Honda Civic and Honda Jazz.
