Honda to increase Honda CR-V's price

Honda Siel cars  one of the  leading car manufacturers in India is going to increase price of Honda's one of the most popular models Honda CR-V. According to the reports the Company is planning to implement new prices from May 2009. According to company one of the major reason behind this price hike is Devaluation of rupee in last few month.

According to Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) President and CEO Masahiro Takedagawa, Devaluation of rupee is impacting our business, because a significant portion of our components are imported from Japan and Thailand. This impact is about 30-35 per cent in case of Honda CR-V. Among the popular Honda cars like Honda City, Honda Accord and Honda CR-V the Honda CR-V is the only model which is completely imported from outside the country and because of that it attracts a heavy duty.
