Honda To Increase Prices Of City, Amaze, WR-V, Jazz, Other Cars From Feb 2019

From 1 February 2019, prices of all Honda cars will go up by upto Rs 10,000
- Except for the CR-V, prices of all Honda cars will go up by upto Rs 7,000.
- Prices of the CR-V will go up by upto Rs 10,000.
- The prices are being hiked in order to offset high commodity prices and foreign exchange rates, says Honda.
Honda has announced a price hike across its entire model lineup with effect from 1 February 2019. While the prices of the CR-V will go up by upto Rs 10,000, other cars will see a hike of upto Rs 7,000 in their prices. The carmaker says this has been done to offset the high commodity prices and high foreign exchange rates. Here’s the Jan 2019 ex-showroom Delhi price range of all Honda cars:

The Japanese carmaker recently introduced ZX variant of the petrol City with manual transmission. It is priced at Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), Rs 1.3 lakh lesser than the Ciaz ZX CVT. The Japanese carmaker has also introduced new exterior colours and has updated the variant lineup of the City. It is now available in four variants: SV,V,VX and ZX. Honda Cars India announces increase in car prices
To be effective from 1 February 2019
New Delhi, 17 January 2019: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) today announced a price increase on its models, which will be effective from 1st February 2019. The price increase on the CR-V will be Rs 10,000 and on other models upto Rs 7,000.
Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “There has been a huge pressure on costs owing to commodity prices & foreign exchange rates and we had been trying to hold this increase for as long as possible. However, we are now compelled to pass on a part of the increased costs to customers effective Feb 1.”
