Honda to launch new Civic by 2012 end globally

Honda Motors might expedite the 2012 Honda Civic launch in the U.S market. Launched way back in 2005, the last Honda Civic version was synonymous for its classy look with world class handling and performance. But, Honda Motors got slightly side-tracked when they came up with the current generation Honda Civic just recently.  So, the car manufacturer which stands in number two position in U.S. auto market is working hard to bring back its lost glory with all the upmarket features apart from the clear cut improvement along the handling and other aspects of the car in the all new Honda Civic.

From what we can understand from Honda Motors America President Tetsuo Iwamura’s comments, the new Honda Civic is more likely to be introduced not later than 2012 end. However Iwamura declined to comment on whether the new generation Honda Civic will undergo a makeover along the exteriors or more to fill in for the gaps in the current generation model. Though one thing is for sure, the new Honda Civic will definitely come with the upmarket features and to live up to the image what 2005 Honda Civic has set. It is basically the cost cutting measures employed by Honda Motors in the current generation Civic which has resulted in compromising on a few key aspects which did not go down particularly well with the consumers.

This makes one wonder if this is the same 2012 Honda Civic global model that will enter into the Indian car market. Because, if it is the same, then we better keep our fingers crossed for what we are about to see in the India bound new Honda Civic. If the Honda India launches the new Civic in tandem with its original plans, we are to see the new sedan no later than mid-2012. Despite the Thailand floods, the Japanese car manufacturer intends to launch the new Honda Civic as slated banking on alternative production strategies.
