Honda's small car Jazz to launch in June

Honda Siel Cars (HSIC) is to launch its  small car Honda Jazz, with 70 localisation, after two months in the current year. A company official confirmed that the car would have a new 1.2 litre engine developed only for the Indian market. Its fuel efficiency is best in its category. This would be the only small car in Honda's global portfolio. The price tag will be Rs 5.5 lakh. The official said that it will be the most expensive petrol hatchback in the Indian market. HSCI managing director & CEO Masahiro Takedagawa said that the company provided enough legroom and headroom space.  The small car Honda Jazz also comes strapped with a toughened suspension to meet stiff roads conditions in India. The car is based on Honda City platform and is likely to endorse Honda pioneered V-Tec technology for high fuel efficiency, which is already used in the Honda City engine. The car would be pitted against Skoda Fabia, Ford Fusion, Tata Indigo, Hyundai Accent besides Maruti Ritz the upcoming product from Maruti's stable.
