Takeaways:
-
The Elevate is longer than the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and Citroen C3 Aircross. While it’s similarly sized as the Kia Seltos, its road presence is slightly shorter in length than the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and MG Astor.
-
It ties with the Creta as one of the narrower cars in this list, managing to be only wider than the Taigun and Kushaq. The Astor is the widest car here, followed by the Seltos.

-
In terms of height, the Honda Elevate is one of the tallest SUVs, sharing the stage with the Astor, second only to the C3 Aircross. This could mean a good amount of headroom for all passengers.
-
The Elevate shares its platform with the City sedan, thus featuring a lot of room between the axles. In comparison, its wheelbase is longer than the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, Hyryder, and Astor. The Taigun and Kushaq have a similarly long wheelbase, while the C3 Aircross leads in this department as well.
-
Several manufacturers haven’t given their official boot capacity figures and it will be a while before we get to carry out our detailed space comparison tests to bring you a real-world result. The Honda Elevate offers more space in the boot than the Seltos and the Kushaq/Taigun.
-
But there is no doubt that the C3 Aircross has the biggest boot. Even with three rows up, it offers up to 444 litres of luggage capacity, which is similar to its rivals. Without that third row, the boot is liberated to offer up to 511 litres of capacity, which is the highest here.
Just like several of its rivals, the Honda Elevate is a petrol-only SUV. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, rated at a max output of 121PS and 145Nm, paired with 6-speed manual and CVT transmissions. Its rivals like the Taigun, Kushaq, Creta, Seltos, and Astor offer the fun of a turbo-petrol engine, while the Hyundai and Kia are the only ones (still) with a diesel motor on offer. As for the Grand Vitara and Hyryder, these two lead the segment in terms of fuel efficiency, with their strong-hybrid technology.
