Update: Hyundai has also showccased the HND-14 concept, which is a sub-4metre SUV concept. It has been designed at Hyundai’s Namyang design centre in Hwaseong, South Korea. Also, the showcase features i30 hatchback. As of now, there is no clarity whether the car will be introduced in India or not.

The Korean automaker has announced their lineup for the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo, which will be held between February 5-9th. Hyundai has announced that their Auto Expo theme will be ‘Experience Hyundai´! Under the ‘Experience Hyundai‘ theme, the Hyundai pavilion will showcase as many as 17 exciting and innovative products from its international and domestic lineup on 12 zones. The showstopper will be the N2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept.

Speaking of the zones, Hyundai’s pavilion will have Future, Premium, Sports, Safety and Engagement  Zones. Coming to the 17 products, from its international lineup, Hyundai will showcase its ‘N’ performance brand, along with recently revealed Genesis luxury sub-brand. Genesis will showcase its flagship G90 sedan, which will compete with S-Class, A8 and 7-Series in global markets, soon. Rest of the products will be from the company’s domestic lineup.

Besides all this, the highlight from the Hyundai at the Expo would be the re-introduction of the Tucson SUV in the country. Hyundai discontinued the first generation SUV from the Indian market nearly 6 years ago and the upcoming one is in its third generation. When launched, it will fill the gap between the popular Creta compact SUV and Hyundai's flagship Santa-Fe. This third gen model adopts Hyundai's Fluidic design 2.0, similar to that of Santa-Fe and Creta. It features petrol and diesel engines globally, and India is likely to get either 1.7 or 2.0 CRDi diesel motors. It’s also loaded inside-out with lots of goodies and offers 2WD and 4WD options.

Hyundai has also showccased the HND-14 concept, which is a sub-4metre SUV concept. It has been designed at Hyundai’s Namyang design centre in Hwaseong, South Korea. We expect the production version to share the same powertrains as i20 hatchback, which includes – the 90PS - 1.4-litre U2 CRDi DOHC diesel mill and the 83PS; whereas the 1.2-litre Kappa dual VVT unit undertakes powertrain duties in the petrol variants.
