New Features
Hyundai has added features like automatic headlamps, footwell lighting, and front USB C-Type charger to the new Aura. It still continues with bits like an eight-inch touchscreen system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, cruise control, and automatic AC. The instrument cluster has been tweaked slightly, but still gets the same 3.5-inch MID as before.
It’s Safer
In terms of safety, the Aura gets several upgrades. Four airbags are now standard across all variants, while six airbags are available on the top-spec variant. ESC (electronic stability control), hill-start assist and tyre pressure monitoring system are also available with the sedan which up its safety quotient.
New Colour Option
Hyundai has introduced the ‘Starry Night’ colour option for the new Aura, in addition to the existing shades - Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue, and Fiery Red.
Updated Powertrains
While the Aura continues with a 83PS/113Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine, it’s now E20 (20 percent ethanol blend) and BS6 Phase 2-compliant. You can choose between five-speed manual and AMT transmissions here. Just like earlier, the CNG is also available, which develops 69PS and is paired with a manual transmission.
Hyundai discontinued the Aura diesel last year;and now, it seems like the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine has also been shelved. The AMT option is also limited to just one variant, the one-below-top SX.
Rivals
The Aura continues to compete against the Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor and Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
