The auto major has developed the car with utmost care incorporating the various strategies to overcome the high price in four crucial years to beat the toughest competitor Maruti Alto. The car had been launched at a starting price of Rs 2,69,999 for the base D-Lite variant to cater to the demands for a low cost car in the market. A Diesel technology, as we know is more expensive than petrol, which will nudge the Hyundai Eon price by Rs 80,000 further. Moreover, the auto major might not want to wipe out the image of the Hyundai EON as the low cost car. This leaves the option of the LPG which will though increase the price of the car by Rs 20,000, but will inflate the fuel economy drastically. With the increasing petrol prices, the Indian consumers might be opting for an LPG variant over the Hyundai EON petrol, simultaneously introducing it as a cheaper option than diesel.
