Hyundai Eon LPG variant spied

On one hand, Hyundai Eon petrol version is yet to be launched on 13^th October 2011, whereas Hyundai has already commenced working on the LPG model of this small car. Recently, the Hyundai Eon LPG variant was spotted during its test run. Earlier there were speculations in the market that Hyundai India might introduce the duel fuel variant of Hyundai Eon along with the launch of the petrol version of Hyundai Eon. However, one thing is for sure that Hyundai Eon LPG won’t be introduced on 13^th of October 2011, but one can assume the launch of the LPG model could be around the corner. The Hyundai Eon LPG model adorns a “Blue drive” badge, which signifies Pure drive or Blue Motion drive.

This basically indicates that Hyundai India is being environment friendly and is aiming towards less pollution. According to the grapevine, Hyundai India has been working secretly on the LPG kit for its hatchback, Hyundai i10 and is expected to hit the Indian shores in the year 2012. It is really challenging for the firm to get the LPG variants of the car to be perfect. It is estimated that Hyundai Eon LPG model will soon hit the roads of India. Meanwhile, the petrol version of Hyundai Eon will launch tomorrow. The major highlights of this upcoming car comprise of 814cc of petrol engine, which churns out 56 BHP of power with 75 Nm of torque. The base variant price will land near Rs. 2.5 lakh only, which will give a direct competition to Maruti Alto.
