Hyundai i20 facelift spied

Looks like, Hyundai might go for an exteriors makeover of its flagship hatchback Hyundai i20 after all. What more, Hyundai India might bring the new Hyundai i20 to the 2012 Auto Expo if the rumours are to be believed. It is basically the heavily camouflaged new Hyundai i20 doing the tests which fuelled the speculations. The redesigned headlamps look more pronounced than ever, even from the camouflage.  One might as well expect a new grille endowing a new look to the fascia of the car under the cover.

Alloy wheels with new wheel caps might also make its way into the revamped version of the car. What more, Hyundai India might strip off the interiors to replace it with some exciting soft color tones of new upholstery. There is absolutely no reason why Hyundai India should even think of an engine overhaul for the new Hyundai i20. The 1.4 L Gamma and 1.2 L Kappa petrol engines under the hood account for some impressive peak power and torque output. The 1.4 L diesel powered Hyundai i20 delivers a phenomenal mileage of 23 kmpl.

If looks have ever been a sore point, then the new Hyundai i20 will make up for even that with its Fluidic new exteriors. The new Hyundai Verna with its Fluidic design has been a major hit for the car manufacturer. But, Hyundai EON with the same design language has proved it beyond doubts. Now, Hyundai hopes to introduce its ‘Fluidic’ design in its entire line-up and the same could be seen in the spotted 2012 Hyundai Sonata as well.
