Hyundai India to launch Hyundai HA by 2011 end or early 2012

The South Korean car maker, Hyundai Motor Company is planning to launch another inclusion in its fleet of cars in India - Hyundai HA which is codenamed as Hyundai H800. Expected to enter India in the third quarter of 2011, Hyundai HA will be a sub – Santro small car.According to reports, Hyundai Motors India has been conducting road tests of its new car with perfect camouflage so as to keep the design specifications wrapped till the release. As per photos floating on internet, one can easily deduce that Hyundai India is utilizing the front grille of Hyundai i40 sedan in Hyundai HA. This small car will enter the sub-compact segment and is expected to compete with Tata Nano and Maruti Alto.

The new Hyundai HA is most likely to come affixed with an 800cc epsilon engine which is the smallest straight-4 automobile engine by Hyundai Motor Company. However, with overall size of Hyundai H800 being smaller than Hyundai i10, the company is expected to place a 1.0ltr and 1.2ltr engine to powered Hyundai HA.

As for now, Hyundai HA is being developed in the Research and Development center of Hyundai India located in Hyderabad. As per reliable sources, Hyundai India is expected to unveil its new Hyundai H800 during New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 and the car is going to prove as a tough competition to Tata’s Nano.It is worth mentioning that Tata Nano was released with great prospects one year back. But the car failed to carry on with the name of Tata Motors. So now, all eyes are on Hyundai HA price tag, as this factor is going to decide the future progress of new Hyundai addition in Indian car market.
